Fall Decorating!

Came home at 8:30 this morning from an all-night shift of work. The Santa Ana winds were howling and blowing
leaves golden orange through the grass. There is a definite damp, crisp chill in the air. My summer blooms are
still hanging onto summer, but not for long. I can feel and smell the freshness. I cannot believe it will be Halloween soon. I can officially start my fall planting of my vegetable garden!
This has to be my favorite time of the year and I can taste the anticipation in the air.

So glad autumn is finally here! I love hoodie season!

oh I love a lot of things about fall, once I have finally justified saying good bye to the summer things I love. I do love fall pumpkins and food things with pumpkin, and the crisp leaves and colourful photo opportunities!

My favorite thing about fall is cool weather but this year I have even more to be excited about - my son is getting married in October & we have a beautiful fall wedding planned.

Autumn is my favorite time of the year ~ the beautiful outdoors, getting the sweaters out, playing in the leaves with the grandbabies & Thanksgiving. I have a lot to be thankful for this year. Almost lost my mom this past summer so I am thankful we still have her with us. :)

What is NOT to like about fall. But my fav is early fall when i can still wear sandals and flip flops with shorts and a sweatshirt! I love short on bottom/long on top but could go long on bottom (capris/pants) and short (sleeve) on top.

I love the drop in temps and being able to wear sweaters, scarves, boots, etc. I love the fall colors too and warm drinks and all the one dish comfort foods.

I miss the long days of Spring and Summer, but I do enjoy the cooler weather of Autumn. I love driving up to the mountains to see the aspens turn golden and I can't get enough of the smell of roasting chiles that permeates the air at farmers markets and festivals this time of year.

Living in Florida, I welcome the fall! After such hot summers, it's nice to catch a break when the wind picks up and temperatures drop....just a little ;). I love going to the fall festivals around the area and enjoy being able to get outside more for family time. We love taking bike rides in the early evening.

Fall in KY is just amazing. I love the cooler crisp air and the smell of the fallen leaves. I also like to hear the sound of the crunching leaves.

What do I love about fall?
It's simple: everything. Sound of crispy leaves when I walk in the park, the special rain song played on my umbrella, rainbows smiling to my after every storm... The smell in the air after long rain, warm sweaters and beautiful colors.
And of course, hot chocolate. :)
